BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Tim Creany is a Board-Certified General Internist through the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Born and trained in the United States, Dr. Creany completed his medical degree at Georgetown University and his residency in General Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester.
He has practiced in a diverse range of clinical settings. Early in his career, he worked in a private practice in Boulder, Colorado. Dr. Creany later joined the Colorado Department of Corrections, where he served for 25 years. During this time, he participated in numerous committees and held leadership roles. In 2014, he founded a telehealth company, focusing primarily on providing care for incarcerated individuals for ten years.
In 2024, following the birth of his son, Dr. Creany prepared to immigrate to Canada and transitioned from correctional medicine to locum tenens work. He relocated to Kelowna in August 2025 with his family.
Dr. Creany is trained to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex medical conditions, including:
- Cardiovascular: coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension
- Pulmonary: COPD, asthma, and other chronic lung conditions
- Gastroenterology: celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease
- Endocrine: diabetes and other endocrine disorders
- Liver disease and cirrhosis
- Rheumatologic conditions
- Management of seizures and migraines
Outside of medicine, Dr. Creany enjoys exploring the outdoors in Kelowna, including biking, skiing, hiking, and spending quality time with his family.
